I am installing a grey water holding tank, and I noticed something odd about the sink drain.
It goes into
a sort of little trap by using a hemisphere with an outlet on the side attached to the bottom
and covering the actual drain pipe coming out of the bottom of the sink.  Why was this done,
and do I need to leave it that way if I put on a grey water holding tank
