I would find an original copy of the book "How To Hot Rod VW Engines" and also purchase a copy of Gene Berg's copywrited book of instructions. Both publications are going to have all aspects of engine building. They are the only sources of honest to goodness no BS information that I know of. Read up on rocker arm geometry and determining pushrod length.
