Subject: Trailer Hitch/Wiring/Towing - Advice
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Anyone got advice on buying a trailer hitch for my 85 Transporter - converted to Westfalia. Don't want to spend more than I need to, but want it to be safe and satisfactory.Someone told me they'd bought one for about $100 Canadian at Uhaul - anybody know if these are good. I'm planning to call today. Anything that is recommended ? Should be avoided?

Also - any thoughts on wiring for lights - normal kit that you get at Canadian Tire?. Anybody got a diagram or instructions for the wiring.

Finally about towing. The immediate purpose is to move my daughters stuff ( university apartment - stuff is bulkier than it is heavy). Willl also look for a trailer formy Moto Guzzi.

What are the weight limitations, any other towing advice with a Vanagon?
