Another one of those "quick" fix, miracle in a can product's---

It does work for awhile, but as soon as the gas works it's way under the stuff, because the inside of the tanks wasn't clean enough--- ( and how do you know the inside of the tank is prepped right, or thoroughly enough?) and then the sealer starts plugging your gas filter, and lines---

Not a good idea--- I used this stuff in leaking motorcycle tanks----stopped the leak for a short period of time, and then started working lose, and plugging the jets in the carbs----

What a nightmare----

Do it right--replace the tank with a non-jipo OEM unit and be done with it--

Later,

Terry

Before I would spend any money on another tank (VW or aftermarket), I would take a look at one of the restoration kits such as the one from Eastwood.     Eastwood has a great reputation among old car restorers. Go to their "Specialty Coatings" section and check out their $40 gas tank sealant kit.                                                                                                                                                 Jay http://www.eastwoodco.com/cgi-bin/sgdynamo.exe?HTNAME=default2.htm
