Subject: gas tank
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I wrote in about OEM vs aftermarket. I really don't know if I need to replace the tank. It doesn't leak, except that we get the gas smell right after a fillup, which I understand is the top grommets. However, there are a couple of other problems. We run out of gas after using about 13 or 14 gallons, and, at that time, the gauge reads about 1/4 tank remaining. I can't see the underside of the tank, because a PO covered it with carpet padding and some sort of rubber floor mat materal. I plan to remove that in the next few days and see what's up under it.

Thanks,

Bill in the Southwest
