For the syncro: $3950 + $176 shipping

ordered the engine in early december. Arrived just after christmas. was wheeling in the snow by the super bowl.

> tougher to install and set up - more $$

Install is easy if you have some mechanic ability. Burn the instructions for best success. Really. Need a computer to set the mixture and timing, etc. That cost me 30$ for the software and interface. I had the laptop.

Should use an a2 fuel rail (65$ used good one). Misc. fuel line, coolant line etc. 50$ for that. 7K tach- 5$ ebay, score!

Cruise at 75 no problem :-) Poor low-end torque. It likes to be running at 3.3 to 4.5K. Very pronounced power-band :-)

we'll see in due time...

> Now, based on an average gas mileage of 20 for TIICO,

gas milage is about 22 around town (Syncro westy!) and 24ish highway at 65 mph running 195-14's.

Other unknowns: vibrations (i don't hav'em) noisy (got that!) How easy is it to warranty? parts availabilty (what engine do i have?? What head? Is this a SA 2.0 or a SA 1.8 bored to 2.0?? you get the idea...)

Cheers Matthew 86 syncro westy tiico
