Bob,

The reason your tank wouldn't fill, more than likely is the same reason mine wouldn't----the auto fill valve is kaput---

Which from what I have gathered is a common problem

I insatalled a manual valve and bleeder---success was mine---

Total for new valve and bleeder--$47.00 delivered.

Later,

Terry

Today's surprise: propane tanks. I went to fill up the tank on my 87 Westy, something I have never done before. The guy tells me he's not allowed to fill tanks more than 12 years old. Mine is original, built 9/86. The guy also tells me there is no 80% valve on my tank, which there is and I had to point out to him after looking in the manual. Then he says he'll fill it this once, attaches the hose and it won't fill. So he gives up. I think he might have been sand bagging me. Anyone know anything about this 12-year rule? Corollary -- anyone got a young tank they want to sell cheap? Bob W.
