I have been laying back and watching this thread--and I do agree that the synthetic is very slippery----and just might prohibit the rings from seating--

BUT-------

How do the rings seat in a new Corvette?

How about in a Porsche?

Both these cars are delivered with syn oils in them----

Went for an exhilarating ride in my friend's new twin turbo Carrerra yesterday.

It didn't shift out of second until it was at 127 mph !!!

Awe inspiring----

Now if I could only shoehorn that engine into my GL-----

By the way, and I thought this was unusual--the oil weight recommended for the engine is 0w-40--year round---

Really wild--

Later,

Terry
