I'm in Arizona, too, and you don't have to go up north to get cool in Arizona, just uphill. I teach astronomy at a college here, and I am going camping this Friday with a bunch of my students on Mt. Graham. We are going to look at the stars and have a good time. Local Vanagoners would certainly be welcome. We will be around 7000' in the pine trees, and the overflow area where we camp was a heliport years ago. Big, flat, round open area surrounded by trees. Pmail me if you are interested.
