It's a good way to learn about VW's and cars in general, but will have very little that specifically relates to watercooled Vanagons. When Muir wrote the book, the Bus was still in production. After his death the book was updated to include some aircooled Vanagon references, but not much that would apply to a watercooled model. Pity, because it's an exceptional book (and an absolute must-read for any aircooled VW owner). There was a watercooled version of the book called "Poor Richard's Rabbit Manual' published by Muir Publications for a short time some years ago, but as the name implies, it really was geared toward Rabbits rather than watercooled VW's in general.
