I apologize to all if I have written anything so upsetting that merits a
reply like this. I'm really sorry, Nico. Please forgive my ignorance of
your beautiful language, if this is the reason of your reply.

I understand that maybe the word "race" was the culpit. I just meant
"human". I happen to live in a beautiful latin american country, full of
black, chinesse, mulato and white people. I happen to be a white, green
eyes descendant of a spanish family. My grandmother still lives in the
Canary Islands, close to Africa, close to Europe.

So you see, the word "race" cannot have any other meaning to me than
"human", homo sapiens. That is perhaps my mistake. My phrase at the end
of the email tried to express my feelings that, in a time of hatred,
terror, hunger, it is a sign of hope to be a part of a list where
solidarity is the norm.

To all the members of the list: if you are thinking about leaving the
list, please do not do so because of a silly mistake.

Sorry for the non-vanagon content, but I thought it was necessary.
