Pablo,

No, it is MY ignorance which has caused heartache. Your English is so perfect, I had no idea that it is your second language. I know firsthand that your countrymen are a joyful, loving and tolerant people. You deserve the treatment to which you have been accustomed. All my life, I have been taught to love and respect all people for whatever goodness is in there heart. Lately, bigotry has been flaunted in my face and I have become openly outraged by it because I want it banished forever. I was blinded by my bitterness and did not see you for the man you are. I am sorry.

I tell my son, do not judge a man by his last act. If you think of me, please keep that in mind.

Rico
