Subject: Help W/ Grounds - Bucking and High Idle
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Well,

She's started bucking again, worse than ever. First time the bucking started it seemed to start right when the alternator was going bad. Dijitool showed low voltage - 10.0 - from battery when bucking started. So I replaced the bushings which were completely shot, and also fixed a mangled wire - that went to the (temp sensor?) down by the push rods on the driver side. Awesome, no bucking for over a month.

So she starts bucking again, this time not only at highway speeds, but when ever the RPMs get up near 2700-3000. Also high, erratic idle. I looked at the bushing again, they seemed VERY worn for 3000 miles. Went ahead and replaced the entire alternator this time (only 89 bucks!).

Still bucking.

Can someone point me in the direction of some specific grounds I should check - ie where are the important ones for the FI? Other than just cleaning them up, can I use the the volt meter to test the grounds?

Your dealing with an electircal moron here, so elementary please!

Thanks,

Jeff
