Send that dog to the bone yard or part it out. There are plenty of nice vehicles of the Vanagon Type out there with decent prices on them. I'd think that you can buy a good running Diesel Vanagon for less than a rebuild engine and all that life stealing labor you'll have to invest yourself or enslave yourself to an employer to earn the money for.
