<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV>well, after some tinkering around, i plugged the cooler into my wifes S10 blazer and it worked fine. so still scrathing my head. now i have isolated it to just my vehicle and not the unit itself. i started to inspect the cig lighter and noticed that there is a little light connected to the lighter behind the dashed that i never knew was there. obviously in the four years that i owned the van it never worked. upon further inspection of this light there appears to be a female connection at the end of it and lo and behold no wire connected to it! should ther be? is this a ground? there is the main wiring harness going to the cig lighter, about five wires, but no wire going to this little light off the cig lighter. know with the help of my litle mirror i noticed that there is metal going from the light to the cig lighter circuit. but there is definelty a female conection inside the black plastic housing. what am i looking at here? and can this have anything to do with the fuse blowing? just to note, my cd player and cell phone work just fine throught this cig lighter and i have never blown a fuse in this before.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>also, i thought maybe i could go to radio shack and just buy a cig lighter female end and just go straight to the battery completely bypasssing the main circuit board altogether. any foreseen problems with this slolution?</DIV> <DIV>TIA</DIV> <DIV>jason</DIV> <DIV>90gl</DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: <a href='http://g.msn.com/1HM105401/46'>Click Here</a><br></html> |
