When I first got my Westy, which is an '81, it had been sitting for a few years. As part of the general fixup, I replaced every exterior lightbulb on the vehicle with new ones, even if the old bulbs were working, and I cleaned out all lenses and got the corrosion out of the contacts. As part of this, I replaced the sealed beams (the '81 has just two sealed beam headlights, one on each side). I replaced the sealed beams with Sylvania Halogen sealed beams I got at Wal-mart, adjusted them, and they work great. I live in the country, so am almost never on lighted city streets. These lights work fine. I think they were $10 or $15 each. Bill |
