It wasn't originally set up for California smog requirements.... so I guess that means I shouldn't have a problem. Still, Boston Bob doesn't live in California. Is there anything he may not be aware of? Bob, my stock automatic runs at 4000 rpms to hit 70 mph. When your big valves are running 70 mph down the highway, what are their rpms? And Bob, does the engine run less loudly with Option I and/or II Thanks for your reply. >From: Robert Donalds <bostneng@FCL-US.NET> > >Mark >the changes in the valve job and valve size size does not change the >ability of the engine to burn cleanly. the big valve engine in my camper >passed emissions no problem. my gas milage was in the 19 20 mpg range on my >trip up and down the coast at speeds of 70 plus with power to spare >Bob
