I do not know what the similarities are with the Vanagon pop top mechanism, but while showing off my '73 campmobile to a friend the "popped" top came crashing down and hit me on the head like a hammer hitting a nail. It scared me and I thought no more of it, until the next morning when I couldn't get out of bed. The doctors said that my neck sacrificed muscle and cartilage to save my bone, and I couldn't have come much closer to a broken neck. I spent 2 weeks in bed juiced up on painkillers. K Gronfor |
