OK, enough beating on Ron! I've been buying parts from Ron since the Bus Depot started and have never had any experience that I would consider bad service. Sure they have taken a long time on some orders, but they always point out that if you need fast service, you should tell them and they will expedite. They are human, and therefore they do make mistakes, but they fix them promptly. Hell, I even made a mistake once myself.

I don't expect service like Amazon or PC Connection from a small business offering rock bottom prices, and I cut them a lot of slack for the low prices and the fact that they, Van-Again, and other list vendors are part of our Vanagon.com community, and have been from the start. If it weren't for Ron and Ken and other other list vendors, probably a lots of us would have sold our vanagons out of frustration with the VW dealers' parts counters and prices. Do our community a favor and try the p-mail route to resolve problems first before dragging it onto the full list.

One final thought: The low prices that Ron and Ken offer put pressure on other dealers to lower their prices too (as in your example dealing with Adirondack), so the true benefit to us from Ron and Ken and the other list vendors extends well beyond their own companies.
