The latest edition does have a little bit of Vanagon info, but its mostly wrong! Did you know that the Vanagon uses the Rabbit engine and transmission? (Ok, I guess for the diesel its half right)

----------------------------------------------- Sounds like you have stubled across John Muir's book. For air cooled owners (loafs more than Vanagons) it has become a bible of sorts.

I think you're correct in saying that it might not apply to your van... but the book is an ICON of the VW community and should be in EVERY member's library (air cooled or not).

Thanks, Chris
