Subject: Little Vanagon Content: BenT is back in town
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hello Folks,

My apologies to those of you who have been trying to reach me. I have been out of the US and just returned today.

If I have not responded to your inquiries (about studs, bolts, rims, and double cabs importing and other vanagon clatterlamania), it is quite possible that I may have deleted the email in the 1500 or so emails from the past week and a half by accident. Best way to get someone's attention on pmail is by typing PMAIL on the subejct line or the addresee's name.

Anyway, here's a funny anecdote. I brought Michael Crichton's (of Jurrasic Park etc, fame) for light reading on the plane. Just as I decided it was not appropiate to read on a plane, the captain announces that engine number one was leaking oil (must be an aircooled VW jet). We were 5 hours out on the Pacific at the time. It was decided that going forward for another 10 hours was not as prudent as going back 5 hours. back we flew in the wrong direction. My 16 hour flight endded up being in excess of 25 hours total flight time. Oh yeah the book's title? "AIRFRAME". All about some plane crashes.

BenT out of shape but alive and well.
