Just a quick note to say I'm safely back from five remarkable months south of the border ~ Jury-rigged fan switch & leaky gas tank O-rings held all the way home!

Now: if I can only muster the energy to unpack & adjust to the culture shock re-entry always brings... Later, I promise another report--including stories of the many Westy travelers--young & old--I met this winter all over mainland Mexico.

Thanks again to all who offered mechanical advice/support/humor when my fan quit & gas tank leaked.

Vaya! Phaedra '85 Wolfsburg Westy "Basecamp" (aka Mexicali Rose)
