Hi all,


looks like I'll be starting to convert my '82 diesel westy to gas. Ward
Smith (on this list) is dropping off a 1986 VW Golf tomorrow. I'm going to
pull the motor (and assorted parts) and stick it in the Vanagon asap. I'm
leaving the regular diesel tranny for now, and will put in a air-cooled 4
speed when I find one. I'll keep the list updated as to progress. If anyone
has any specific advice, I'm all ears.


Also, thanks for all the wonderful web pages on doing conversions. TomC's
summary page has been particularly helpful, as is/was/will be the pages of
Tom Gray, David Hammontree, David Andrews, and Jim Digennaro.
