On 2wd diesel Vanagons the tranny nose mount is different than all others. It raises the tranny nose quite a bit with the desired effect of lowering the back of the engine to clear the engine cover better at the injection pump. The 2wd diesel oil pan is designed to offset this tilted engine/tranny position and still have the oil pan level to the ground. If you use this oil pan with any other tranny or engine mounting position the bottom of the pan may and probably will not be level to the ground.
