We all know the importance of having the air in our tires rotated... you know the old air begins to get foul and the moisture can rust out the rims, so I was on my way to have the air in my tires rotated and my friend Alexxy was following me. So we weren't far down the road when I look out the windshield and Alexxy is honking and waving for me to pull over. So I do, I mean, I did. The veins were popping out on his forehead, I couldn't understand what his problem was... Anyways, so he comes running up to the window, all flailing his arms and stuff and says "Why the hell are you driving BACKWARDS??? I was like, "What?" And he was like, really talking slowly like I was a retard or something, going, "Why are you driving using only your mirrors, with the van in reverse?" I was like, "I dunno"... then he showed me that the "R" on the shifter did not stand for "Run", but for "Reverse" and that there was a way to make the van go down the road faster, (and facing the other way around) by using the numbered gears. It is Soooooo cool. Everybody better check their shifters. I bet a lot of people are making this same simple mistake. --mango >>>>>>>>All in good humor... >>>>>> I'm sorry Pinkie, I'm still chortling at 15 kph, in reverse. gmb |
