It is time to replace my alternator/water pump belt. The owners manual and bentley do not tell you how to do this, so I have a few questions. First, I have 2 spare belts that came with the van, they are official VW ones. I entered the part numbers off them into the busdepot website to see where they go, but neither number was found. 023 903 137A is 10 X 1075 this belt has large teeth 025 903 137G is 10 X 1100 this belt has smaller mismatched teeth can anyone tell me if if these are correct for my vehicle? and where they go? Second, how in the world do you change the alternator belt? I searched the archives and they said it can be done with a 13mm wrench, but it didn't say how. The power steering pump is easy, the AC belt goes through the coolant hose, and the alternator belt is behind all that. Do I have to remove everything or is there a secret? Thanks, Nathan 85 Westy
