How 'bout disconnecting the drive shafts? If it's being towed any distance at all, that 's pretty good insurance against blowing a good tranny. Virtually all the moving parts in the automatic transmission move when the van is rolled. The major exception is the oil pump and this is the problem. Most of the rotating parts are turning on bushings. These bushings get lubricated from by the main pump. No pump, no oil. I would suggest following the recommendations in the manual, ten starting the engine to lubricate the moving parts and going again. If you need to toe on a regular basis, than a lube pump can be added to provide the needed lubrication. For a one time tow, it may be better to have it towed to avoid the fines and liability if something happens. Dennis
