Folks, Here's a possibly dumb question: what might cause the O2 sensor LED to not light when i turn the key to start the vehicle? All the replies to my earlier question about degrading performance as the engine warms up seem to center on the temp II sensor and the O2 sensor. The vehicle had passed an emissions test in St. Louis, Missouri about two weeks before i bought it (yep, saw the printout), so i'm thinking that the O2 sensor is working... but the dashboard LED has never lit. This is only mildly surprising since the oil LED was MISSING entirely when i bought the vehicle. Before i start tearing things apart i figured i'd ask first. As always, many thanks. -jspeer '89 Westy, "Mystery Machine" |
