Take a good look at your Vanagon. The swivel mechanism barely clears the carpeting on the door-side of the swivel seat mechansism. Any lowering of the mechanism to alleviate the approximate 1" increase in height over the standard seat height would not allow the swivel seat to do a 180. Cheers, -George
