I just checked the archives back to '95 and the only mention of which way to
turn the notched adjustment wheel is referring you to the Bentley. I did
this last fall and don't remember which way (up or down) but do remember I
noticed a difference because I jacked the rear up so I could turn the wheels
and hear the friction of the shoes on the drum. An actual brake tool that is
canted or bent on the end helps access the window. A screwdriver doesn't
work well as it's straight. The shorter the thing you use the better as long
as you have some leverage. Hope that helps some.
