Subject: trip report Omaha Zoo, NE
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

This is for the volks traveling with kids in their westies (rvc):

We did a mad dash on Saturday from KC to Omaha, NE in our 87 Westy "Eurospec". To get out of the rain and also to visit the zoo. In case you travel along I-80 in the Midwest and need a break, stop at the Henry Doorley Zoo and visit their aquarium (tunnel with sharks swimming over your head), first class rainforest (eat lunch at the Treetop Restaurant eye to eye with gibbons), and the brand new Desert Expo(indoor desert imitation).

400 mile roundtrip 21 mpg at 80mph vw sightings on I-29: 1 Rialta,1 Eurobago, 1 overloaded bay, 1 86 weekender broken down on the shoulder, no driver in sight.

no mechanical problems for us, gottseidank. Cheers, Hermann
