I replaced the floor panel in a Loaf Westy I put together in college, and I covered it with the stick-on vinyl faux parquet flooring from Home Despot... looked pretty good, easy as hell to install, actually quieted the interior. Until I installed the Corvair engine, that is. 2 speed GM Powerglide, wheeee! Towed my Thing and all my posessions from FL to NY, 70MPH all the way. Don't think it would look too great with the more modern Vanagon interior, though, unless you've got the old wood-tone cabinets.
