i lived in southern alabama for about 2 years, had mostly good experiences there, weird vibe down south there...kinda spooky for an OC Cali boy. anyhow, glad i did it, but never want to go back, i prefer the west/southwest/pacific side of our country. don't misinterpret however, i really enjoyed a lot of what the south offered, especialy the culture shock and fried pickles. jeff
