Chris: I'm partial to southeastern Utah, the Moab and Canyonlands areas, then south down the Colorado corridor. Even though you will be there (here..I'm in Salt Lake) at the hot time of year I still think you will be glad you visited and saw the spectacular views. This is the bottom and sedimentary base of the great inland sea. It used to be under 3000' of water and when that left the erosion has revealed mother nature at her finest. A very small portion is available at the "Bob's Photo Share" below. I camp in my Westy (Vc) there alot. It will be such a dramatic difference from the lush, moist greenery of the NW as well.
