On the three sitting in my driveway, the '84 takes about 7-8 pounds of pressure at the top of the pedal to push it nearly to the floor. I find this on the light side when driving, but not bad. The '85 (couldn't measure) was noticeably less to the fingers. The '83.5 (visiting) takes well over ten lb. to move the pedal at all, and it has an initial stiffness that you have to overcome each time it moves (i.e. lots of cable friction in there somewhere). I think that one wants a new cable.

Anyone else got numbers?
