       Steve, I've done a few of these now and it pretty simple.  Clean the 
rack well before beginning the disassembly.  The hardest part is going to be 
removing the two locking rings that hold the cast aluminium ends to the 
central tube.  Be careful and go slowly using heat if they do not want to 
move.  You can easily damage the castings removing these and then your rack 
will be toast.  After you get those locking rings off then the rest is pretty 
straight forward.  Work slowly and keep things clean.  Since there are no 
diagrams anywhere showing the location and position of the seals and spacers 
all you have to go by is your original.  Make notes if you think you will not 
remember where and how the seals and spacers go.  That's it.
