$9 for OEM? $5 for aftermarket and you have to bend your shroud? Why?

I have OEM ones for $4.29 (my part number 070 115 561), if purchased in quantities of 4 or more. ($3.99 for aircooled Vanagons.) If part of a $50-plus order, the additional 5% listmember discount drops the price further.

Most people need parts for their Vanagon at least once a year if not more often. (Sometimes a lot more often!) This is a case where thinking ahead saves time and money. Oil filters are the kind of "you'll-need-it-sooner-or-later" part that's worth keeping a few extra of. Just add a few to each parts order, and you'll always have an OEM one in the garage when you need it. Plus you won't end up with a potentially harmful non-OEM filter on your Vanagon because the local FLAPS or mechanic didn't have the right one in stock. Personally, I always keep a few hundred handy just in case I need one :-)
