I have had my fridge out several times without pulling the cabinet in my '87. Remove the front wooden trim that holds the door, get into the cabinets on the left and right and pull the two screws on each side.

With the drawer removed, you can reach the gas line with a short wrench and loosen it. Be sure to turn off gas at the tank first, no open flames, etc.

The 110 v line just plugs in under the sink. I seem to remember the 12v line being a bit hard to unplug, but it does come apart.

The outside vent has a couple of different size screws, and does not go back together in an obvious manner, so make some notes or a sketch as you take it apart.

Remove the inside vent, which gives you access to the vent pipe so you can wiggle as needed.

Pull the fridge straight forward, until the vent pipe is loose from the wall. Then you will have to tip and wiggle to get it out of the hole.

Be carful of the drain line and burner on the bottom of the unit.

The most trouble I have had re-installing is having to bend the vent pipe a bit so it will fit out with the fridge tipped.

Not too tough, but remember you are dealing with gas, so be sure to check the line for leaks after re-installing.

so bently says to take out the entire cabinette. i have a service manual i got from either the wetwesties or westfailure that says i can just pull the fridge without pulling the entire cab...anyone have any experience with this? would prefer to not pull the entire cabinette for obvious reasons...thanks
