Hi Folks, My girlfriend is looking for a way to boil water quickly, as we travel on the road, in our 1986 Westy. She found a Rival 32 oz hot pot, which can boil water in 60 seconds! http://www.rivco.com/support_files/products/product_hotpots.htm We have a Sima 120v 300watt power inverter, and are trying to figure out, can our inverter handle an appliance like this. Currently, we have our inverter plugged in to our 12v outlet, and use it to charge our view cam cam- corder and Apple iBook laptop. I plan on hardwiring this to our Aux. battery some time soon. Sadly, this Rival hot pot does not list any information on how much draw (either amps or watts) it takes. Does anyone have any experience with an appliance like this? Can you recommend any alternative, if this is just too much draw? Any information would be great. Thanks much, dave bowers 1986 Westy |
