The van in the driveway... Maybe the cop was really interested in the VW. I was up on the hill at a local park running my ham radio late one Saturday night not too long ago, and the Park Police came up and shined a light in the window. I opened the door and offered him a cup of green tea. He asked me all about the van, and asked if he could look inside. I said, "sure" and showed him how the top popped up and the upper bunk unfolded. He said he'd never seen anything like that before. It was a friendly encounter. Now, I imagine if I had been stopped on the highway, it would have been a whole different matter. Dave in KC 95 Westy
