Yep I always degrease 1st sometimes I even scuff-up the surface w/80-150grit. I got this 2"X5" long "Truckers Grade Velcro" at a Flying-J truck stop. I assume the stuff truckers use would have a strong hold...Ha! but not this crap. I recently bought a roll of Velcro brand 2" velcro. I figure ill find a better adhesive than the "trucker grade" crap. Thanks Phil
