If you hook up 20G for the positive lead, it's gonna glow a very pretty red color and be very, very hot. Like, ignition-source hot. Of course you can avoid this by running something like 80 or 90 strands of 20G in parallel... But then you wind up with something like twenty miles of 20G that you have to measure, cut, strip, and crimp.
