Hmmm, Doesn't look like the math quite works on that one... Assuming you're raising the 32oz of water from 20°C to 100°C, that's a rise of 80°C. Now 32oz of water ~ 0.946kg Specific heat of water = 4.19kJ/kg/°C (@4°C as I recall - it does vary with temperature, but hey...) So, to heat 0.946kg of water 80°C, you need (0.946kg)*(4.19kJ/kg/°C)*(80°C) = 317.2kJ, or 317,183 Joules. Given that 1 Joule=1watt*second, and you have 60 seconds to heat up, you need 5.2864kJ/sec or 5,286.4 watts. We're talking 5 kilowatts here, assuming 100% thermal efficiency, and 100% effectiveness for the heat exchanger (basically impossible without direct immersion of the heating elements). As my grandpa used to say, you got a tough row to hoe on that inverter :-) Even for 8oz of water, you're still talking 1320W.
