I'm expecting a set of SA Carat 2 alloy wheels and a big brake kit, soon.

I'd like to stage the installation of these -- get the wheels on the 87 Vanagon before I start thinking about the brake upgrade.

I've ordered a set of lug nuts with which I will mount the wheels on the rear hubs immediately.

My question is what do I need to get these wheels on a stock Vanagon hub? I don't want to invest in a set of front bolts so to be able to mount the alloy wheels *temporarily* until I get the brake kit installed that takes studs and nuts.

Any suggestions for a temporary means of doing this that won't cost a limb?

Thanks, Dave

PS, Anybody come up with wheel locks for the Carat alloys, yet? (Set for 4 wheels, all use nuts, remember.) -- Dave Carpenter
