Subject: MP3 CD player in Oregon
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hey Folks,

I saw some people were talking digital last week, regarding playing MP3's in their vans.

I just got back form "Car Stereo City" in Clackamas, south east of Portland, Oregon (off SE 82nd) where I was able to buy a new Rockford Fossgate CD deck, that can play MP3's.

When I arrived at the store, the sign said $149.00. However, I had been hearing radio ads all week, for the same deck, at $129.00. When I asked about the lower price, they said, the radio folks make a boo boo, and they would honer the mentioned price.

Install was about $30 bux and took 35 minutes (I probably could have done it myself).

Over all, I am very happy with it. In particular, it has a volume dial, rather than toggle switches. Display is clean, and the face opens manually, rather than electronically. It's the best price, and deck I have found, that plays MP3's for the cost. I just got home, and burned 158 songs to one CD for a road trip this weekend.

Anyhow, they had a number of the decks left. Call ahead just in case Here's their number: Phone:(503) 654-7322.

Have a groovy weekend,
