Many times the cable; 1) Slips out of the black box drive (has a tiny nylon washer that holds it) 2) Slips out of the square drive in the grease cap (needs C clip) 3) Drive gear slips off the shaft inside the spedo housing (reinstall it with glue, careful opening the instrument cover, you could loose the little gear). 4) You can install the cable only and use your old housing.
