I have the Shady-Boy awning on my 90 Westy.

* Installed easily - but you must drill into the body of the van. Three holes per bracket. * As usual with small manufacturing shops the installation instructions were absolutely terrible. Also, there are NO setup instructions, you have to figure it out yourself. * No problem with Westy top going up and down. * Great design, very very robust materials, excellent engineering and manufacturing. * Free standing it cannot tolerate medium to heavy winds and you will need to fold it up into its case. But it comes with guy ropes to attach to bumpers and you can tolerate medium winds. Heavy winds you still need to fold it up. * Setup in about 2 minutes or less. Dismantle is about 3-4 minutes. Can all be done by one person. * I paid CAD$300 for mine plus delivery & local taxes (Sept 2001). * ZERO noticeable wind noise on highway.
