Subject:      Squealing, poor idling - water pump?

Hello List,


For the last two weeks I have this strange squealing
then poor idling when the van is started for the first
time in the morning.   It starting happening when we
went camping and the temp. dropped down to 30 degrees
over night.  My guess the squealing is coming from the
belt driving the water pump.  What about the poor
idling?  Why or how might this be connected?
I squealing stops after a few seconds and the idling
is fine after a couple of minutes of driving.
