this letter is to Larry and all the folks at vanagon.com list.....

how can i say it...it was great meeting you guys and it was great getting to
know some more vanagon people, even though neither of us were driving our
beloved vans at the time :)...anyhow, THANKYOU so much for your generosity
and nice gifts.  so many of us (vanagon folks) go about our little
hobby-horse vanagon side lives - buying and seling parts to each other.  it's
actually really refreshing, different and cool that YOU go our of your way,
visit me in AZ, stop off and hang out, chat and give me some free
parts....why????? you just wanted to..not to mention, all the other parts you
gave to the list community.  anyhow, thanks a lot for the "giveaway."  i know
i appreciate it as an active duty military helicopter pilot, not getting
rich, just doing my job...you know, others appreciate it too.  really, thanks
from me and from everyone else.  the vanagon community is a great place to
hang out..from the list, to the shows, to syncro de mayo, to ebay and now to
my neighborhood!  God bless all you listers, even those i piss off from time
to time, and God bless the guys like you Larry, that still believe in the
Golden Rule....take care, and see you on the high desert roads, and the
line-up on the north shore.  may you always have a tailwind at your back.
