I just got done replacing my front rotor's, bearings, races, and
pads-----on my 87 Westy----
I noticed a taxi cab squeal out of the front brakes----- when applied---

The pads were OEM pads, and just weren't right----

I e-mailed the folks at the cafe--and peter, the owner , got back to me,
and mentioned that he has had a few complaints of the same nature----

So in his reply, he is sending me another set of pads NC to replace the
squeaky one's---nice service----no phone calls, no poor answer's, no
evasive tactics---

I then did my rear shoes and cut the drums----but I made a big
mistake---I got the shoes from NAPA-----

I installed them,and as I was looking at the old shoes, and the new
ones--there was something wrong----

The new shoes, were rebuilt backwards--

Backwards by having the short lining on the front shoe, and the long
lining on the emergency brake shoe side----

So I contacted the Volks Cafe----and they verified my thoughts---and I
ordered the correct shoes, as well as new drums----

The 2 drums cost me less than one drum I could get locally---and they
are OEM---

Nice folks, real good people to do business with, and I will do more
purchasing of parts from them, just  for the simple reason, they follow
through with what they promise---real good PR---

And they notify yo when the parts have left their facility, with a UPS
tracking number, so you know when to expect the parts----

Just my observations---
